Jake Lyons | Executive Director
Jake has been heavily involved in WGI since 2009, performing in several independent world class ensembles including: Palmetto Percussion, Odyssey Percussion Theatre, Terminus Atlanta Percussion, and Music City Mystique. He also was a member of the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps in 2012 & 2013, and was on the percussion staff for Spirit of Atlanta in 2015. Currently, Jake is currently the Front Ensemble Coordinator for the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps. Jake has worked with numerous high school groups throughout his home state and currently resides in Athens, GA, where he is in his 4th year as the Front Ensemble Coordinator at the University of Georgia.
Jake has a B.A. in Communications from the University of Georgia and works for a consulting firm specializing in non-profit development. Currently working with dozens of large non-profit organizations across the country, Jake brings expertise to Equinox in the areas of development, volunteer management, and fundraising.
Chris Parker | Associate Director
Chris Parker started his marching career in 2009, performing in notable groups such as Odysseey Percussion Theatre, Spirit of Atlanta, Phantom Regiment, and Music City Mystique. Afterwards, he started teaching at Music City Drum Corps, Spirit of Atlanta, and Palmetto as a front ensemble technician. Chris is starting his third year on staff with the organization. He also designs, writes, and teaches for high schools all over the southeast.
Chris Parker graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from Tennessee Technological University and now resides in Sandy Springs, GA. He is currently a plan review consultant for FM Global, an engineering insurance company, and from it, will bring expertise in the fields of production, procurement, and relations
Trey Brunn | Staff Coordinator, Visual Caption Head
Trey is from Newnan, Georgia and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. He was first introduced to the pageantry arts in 2004, and he has remained active as a performer and an instructor. Trey performed with Spirit of Atlanta for six years (2006-2011), where he was a member of the hornline and served as drum major during his age-out season.Since exiting the performance arena, he has had the pleasure of working with multiple drum corps, winter percussion ensembles, and high school organizations. In the DCI & WGI spectrum, Trey has previously taught with Teal Sound, Colts, Crossmen, and Palmetto Percussion. He has worked with various high schools across the Greater Southeast and Midwest, most notably including: Kennesaw Mountain High School, Ola High School, Woodland High School, McEachern High School, and served as Visual Caption Head for Jeffersonville High School and Forsyth Central High School. Trey graduated from Kennesaw State University where he earned his degree in Political Science with a concentration in Legal Studies. He currently works in the Property Management Division of PMRG, a commercial real estate firm based in Houston, Texas. Trey is excited to continue his work with Equinox for the 2018 season, where he will continue in his role as Visual Coordinator and also serve as Staff Coordinator.
